Milingui’s founder, Erin, lives in a multilingual home in Barcelona where three languages are spoken daily. Wanting her son to grow up confident in all his languages, she created a series of multilingual books that present vocabulary across multiple languages in a fun and accessible way.

The products are designed and crafted in Barcelona—a vibrant city with a rich multicultural society where over 300 languages are spoken. While Catalan and Spanish are the official languages, many families speak even more at home, navigating the challenges and joys of multilingualism.

Many parents struggle to find engaging resources to support their children’s multilingual journey. Likewise, multicultural couples often seek ways to learn each other’s languages. Milingui’s books help bridge this gap, making language learning an enjoyable and immersive experience.

Erin has been multilingual for over half her life. She speaks fluent English, Italian, and Spanish, as well as intermediate French and Catalan. She has also studied a handful of other languages, giving her firsthand experience in the joys and challenges of language learning.

Multilingualism has shaped much of Erin's career - from working in a foreign language bookstore in Melbourne and teaching languages to professionals in Mexico, to managing export markets and working on consulting projects in over 17 countries. Through Milingui, she hopes to empower families worldwide to embrace multilingualism with confidence - and have some fun along the journey!
